We have been learning about food security in connection with our current unit of inquiry. We decided to take action by selling banana bread and donating the money to the World Food Programme.We bought all the ingredients from a local market and used them to make 12 loaves. We sold one piece for $1. Our profit was $90. This money will go the WPF's School Meal Programme.
"Mr. Ammar from the WPF came to talk to us. I learned that there is enough food in the world to feed everyone but not everyone has access to it," reflected Kudzaishe.
This is fantastic action! Great work Ms Teresa's class....the banana bread was delicious and the class were very persuasive sellers! A healthy profit too!
